not all its supposed to beI followed the advice of a couple of reviewers who said to order one size smaller than you'd think - I am a XL and so ordered the L - well, of course its too small - I am not a huge guy - girth-wise, but the straps don't meet! So wife bought some velcro strapping and we made it work... OK, so it pulls the shoulders back, slightly - I wouldn't go so far as to call it a "correction" - more like a "reminder". I paid $19.95 to learn a lesson that if you want quality - pay for quality... nuff said. 2OK skeptic at first ! But *I tend to walk slouched , bent , saw my reflection in a store window !! not happy ..so I checked around net found items as much as $59.00 , But was led to this product at Amazon , So for the price and low shipping , I thought why not !!! ....WELL as soon as you put it on ,adjust it as directed ...Instantaneous correction !! YES .., I am very suprized and satisfied ...I'm going to order another one !!Highly recomed this , and have someone measure you as directed for a perfect fit !!!AlphaBrace Great products , going to order a knee brace !! ************************************************ 5Awesome product!This back support brace has been a God send for me! My back hasn't responded this well in a long time! I have worn it for two hard days at work and it has helped me a lot. The one drawback is that the little armpit pads slide up on your shoulders and the strap makes my arm pits sore. A simple addition of thicker pads and a few stitches was all that was needed. I would highly recommend this brace for upper back suffers. I have mild scoliosis in two places and this brace supports them well. This was money well spent! 4Meh...I had a difficult time using this. It's not the easiest to get on without help from someone else and the straps are a bit confusing to line up properly. It was a pain to put on and I never really noticed any benefits. It was still too easy for my posture to remain slightly hunched over, unless I really thought about it (doesn't that defeat the purpose a little bit?). I may have picked out the wrong size or just didn't know how to put it on properly, but I didn't like it. 2not real supportiveIt kind of works!First, you cant be lazy. You cant expect this to do all the work for you. You have to put in the effort to correct your posture or this thing will be uncomfortable as hell.With that being said, the strap that goes around you seem to not pull tight enough to be effective. I know that I have to work at it but I think I can do better on my own than with this simply because by the time I get it adjusted I have wasted to much time on it to be worth messing with. 2Very good product. Be mindful about sizing.I read all of the not-so-gloring reviews and initially delayed my purchase. Since there were no alternatives, I finally went with this one and let me tell you I do not regret it at all.This posture support turned out to be a much superior thing than I expected it to be after reading all the reviews:1) It doesn't feel cheap at all (at least to me!)2) It is pretty comfortable: there are soft pads in front of the shoulders that are not visible on the picture3) You can wear it invisibly under a shirt made of dense material. (You might consider removing the soft pads for invisibility).Basically if you can wear a crispy white A-shirt under your shirt and no one can see the A-shirt, then they wouldn't see this posture support either.4) And it works! You'll be standing straight as an arrow.Be very careful about sizing. Sizes are measured by the tape starting from the center of your back, over your should under the opposite arm pit and back to the center of your back.I am a reasonably fit guy with 40" chest and 31"-32" waist. I usually wear M size clothes. I ordered a Large size (34"-38" center of the back) for this support and it fits me perfectly as if it was designed for me.I think if you are ordering without measuring yourself, as a rule of thumb, order 1 size LARGER than yours (not smaller, as someone here recommended!)Care instructions:Machine wash. Dry flat. Do not use hot dryer. Do not use iron. 5For my worst daysI purchased this item to relieve upper back and neck pain. I work at a computer all day and my upper back would be become so painful I couldn't think straight! I purched an XL to make sure it fit. The straps were long enough to allow for a snug fit. FYI - my chest size is 44 inches. I put on this brace for about 20min to 1 hour. It's true that its not something I could not wear all day, but I notice when I am hurting it helps relieve the strain. With frequent breaks (and some weekly exercise to strengthen my back) this brace helps me through out the day. 4Good product. Beware of guessing about the proper size.Brace is good and service was fast. The information regarding sizing should, however, appear in the listing. Only after ordering what should have been the proper size, but wasn't, I had to order another one. Fortunately, sizing information was included with the first brace. 5Wish I could say something better...After all, the vendor *did* accept the return and refund the money. But this product did absolutely nothing for me. It comes with a super-long cord that could wrap an elephant, and no matter how I tightened it never gave me anything approaching support.You may have a different perspective if you are *very* overweight. This may be the consumer this is targeted for. 2Easy to put on.Use this product for my upper back problems, helps a whole lot. 5
