Four Starsokay 4the price was great and They are fineI bought this for indoor use. the price was great and They are fine. 3I love compression knee socksI love compression knee socks. They really are worn almost daily in the winter. When I work I am on my feet for hours but even at home, they really help to prevent cramps at night. Thanks for the nice designs. 5Five StarsI've tried other compression socks and they're TOO tight. These are just right. I wear them for work. 5Keeps Swelling From Edema Down; I Can See My Ankle Bones! These are great socks! I have a real problem with edema in my feet and ankles. I also have trouble with varicose veins and circulation in my legs. There is enough compression in these socks to keep the swelling down, the circulation circulating, and breath new life into my legs. It makes a huge difference in how my legs feel. It's nice having the option of wearing casual compression socks with my jeans and slacks instead of always being stuck with compression stockings, which are fine with dresses but not so great with pants and other causal wear around my home. So, whether you're traveling abroad or across the room, these sock keep the blood moving up and out of your legs and fluid from building up in the feet and ankles. I can see my ankle bones and my feet fit in my shoes.I received a free sample of these great socks in exchange for my honest review. And honestly, they are great! 5Keeps my feet from turning into puffy marshmallowsI'm a bit overweight and middle-aged. With that comes new problems like what I call "marshmallow feet" (or technically edema / fluid retention). If I'm on my feet all day (hiking, etc.), or ride in the car all day (traveling out of state or whatnot), sitting in a plane for hours, or in the brutal summer heat without the benefit of air conditioning, my feet, like to complain by puffing up and making me look like I have Fred Flinstone cartoon feet or as if have gained 25 lbs but only in my feet. It's uncomfortable to say the least. Not only that, but my legs sometimes feel sore and tired and I get that restless leg syndrome from time to time where I want to jump out of my skin (for which this style of socks is supposed to help). I talked to my doctor about the swelling issue, and she recommended compression socks. The first time I tried compression socks, I thought there was no way I was going to be able to tolerate them. This isn't like pulling on your regular sock. This is like trying to squash into a tight, constricting, long sock that feels like you've just tried to put tights on with wet legs. However, once I got them on, I immediately adjusted to them and reaped the benefits over the course of a day.NO MARSHMALLOW feet! NO SORE, TIRED, CRAPPY feeling legs! My understanding of how this works (thanks to the all-wise internet and my doctor) is that the socks increase the pressure in your tissue under the skin and also helps move extra fluid back into the capillaries so that they aren't leaking too much fluid into your tissue. They are also supposed to help keep your veins from overfilling with blood, which keeps it from flowing backward and causing congestion. They supposedly improve your circulation. I'm NOT a doctor, so I'm only sharing what I have heard and read. I'm certainly no expert, but these socks do work for me. They make my legs a lot more comfortable, and they also keep me from getting puffy in my feet, ankles and legs. They also seem to decrease any occasional daytime restless leg syndrome crawly feelings. It's almost like an all-day massage, in a way. Having said that, I don't LOVE wearing them, as I'm the kind of person who doesn't love restrictive feeling clothing. However, they are certainly worth it for any of those times where I'm going to swell up.These Zensah brand socks are are made of polyamide and spandex. They are not cushy feeling socks (to me), but feel like a polyester type of feel, similar to thick tights or hose. They aren't rough though. The argyle design looks nice and classy, but it does leave argyle patterns on my legs from the weave, after taking the socks off - not badly so, but there are criss-cross marks left on my leg. The most comfortable compression socks I've tried are the Sockwell brand: Sockwell Womens Chevron Circulator Compression Socks (Light Concorde M/L), but these come in as a very close 2nd. These Zensah socks are slightly less expensive, so it's more economical if you have to buy multiple pairs. They don't get sweaty and do let your skin breathe. I wore them with hiking boots and my feet were drier than usual in the heavy, closed-in boots. I also love it that there are no seams around the toes to cause discomfort. These socks offer a graduated compression, although they don't rate how much. I would say it's a moderate compression (15-20mmHg), as they aren't quite as tight as some of my firm compression socks, but I am only guessing. Don't take my guess as gospel. ;-)I will be washing these in cold and not drying them via the drier (I'll air dry them instead). I ruined another pair of socks in the drier. They shrunk horribly and no longer fit.As for sizing, I got the LARGE. I am about 210 lbs, 5 foot 6.5 inches, with a size 9 shoes and the large was a good fit. My only complaint is that the height is just below my knee, so the top of the sock sort of digs in at the back of my knee with a little roll of the top material. I had to straighten it out a couple of times while wearing the socks. This may be because I got the large, which is just a bit bigger than what is recommended for my shoe size. My foot did fit into the foot part perfectly, though (see attached picture). If you are looking for a compression sock, this brand sock is cute, fairly comfortable, works well and a bit more economical than the Sockwell brand that I mentioned earlier.I received these socks in exchange for my honest review. This in no way influenced my opinion, as all of my reviews are totally (and sometimes brutally, lol) honest. I don't always give out good ratings!! I buy most of my stuff online, so I really LOVE online reviews and try to make my own reviews as useful as possible and make sure to write details into my review(s) that I would want to read, if I were trying to make a purchase decision. Please leave a comment if you have any questions, and I'll try to answer asap! :-) 5Good socksThese compression socks were sent for free to test and evaluate. This set of socks arrived packed in a sleeve. The first thing I did was wash them to test. As with everything I wash, these were washed on cold wash/cold rinse and put through twice before being dried on medium heat. They passed the wash test with no problems and did not bleed on the white cotton washcloth I put in the washer along with the socks. The socks fit comfortably, despite being compression socks, my calf muscles did not feel squeezed more than regular socks. They fit snugly but comfortably. They were easy to pull on and just as easy to remove.I will be using these socks for boot socks. 5Happy feet, happy life. The thing about owning good socks, I mean really good comfortable socks, is that once you wear them, you want more. Your feet feel and calves feel so much better that it's hard to go back to the $5 VALU PAK you can get at mass market or dollar stores. Most people don't wear good socks, so they don't realize what they've been missing. I'm on my feet all day and I used to come home from work, pry off my shoes and old socks, and watch my feet swell. You could almost hear the skin and bone stretching. ( Well..) But that's not a problem when I'm wearing these Travel Compression socks. Improve circulation, provide cushioning, I dunno how they work. They could work on Pixie Magic for all I care. By significantly reducing foot and leg strain they have actually helped make life better. They're stylish too. I have the black argyle and they go with almost anything, especially in today's mix-and-match/ anything goes fashion sceneI did receive a pair for free in return for an unbiased review. But I wouldn't give them a good review if I didn't like them I want this company to succeed and continue making these socks. They're worth the money and I will be buying a pair of each color. Give them a try, you'll find you like spending money on quality items for your feet. 5
