Smells Great, Tastes TerribleI was so excited to purchase these K-cups for the office. The package arrived in a timely manner and the box is organized in an orderly fashion. I have purchased K-cups where they were thrown haphazardly in the box. Not so, in this case. A person brewed the first one in the office: Butterscotch yum!Let me tell you, Reader, that these coffees smell aMAZing! They smell exactly how they're labeled. Brew a chocolate caramel mocha, it smells just like a chocolate caramel mocha. Brew butterscotch, the sweet smell fills the office and makes everyone's mouths water.But that's where it ends there. You take your first sip and the flavor is very underwhelming, almost plain.And then it hits you.A strong chemical aftertaste bombards your mouth. Reader, the closest equivalent would be to swish your mouth with Windex (please don't do this) in order to understand the intense taste that floods your mouth after. Or you can just attempt to drink one of these to understand what it would be like to sip some cleaner. I will not be purchasing again.1Apparently the supplier read the reviews about packagingI received my 70 cup sampler pack, but had low expectations about the packaging and concern about the expiration date on the cups. Looks like whoever makes these packs read up on the reviews. My cups arrived in a beautiful box with a flip top and each cup nestled in its own little 'cell'. Beautifully packaged and absolutely ideal for gifting.The 70 cups were unique, although there was more decaf than I need at least there werent 15 different french roasts and 15 different hazelnuts! I sampled about 10 expiration dates and they were all in the future, from 2-5 months away. I have heard about some problems with many k-cup manufacturers giving incentives to their production folks for how many they turned out, but someone forgot the sales incentive because they made way more than have sold, so many places allegedly have expired or nearly expired cups. Glad to see that wasnt a problem here. I found at least six coffee's I havent tried yet (and I've had a LOT of different k-cups) but wanted to before buying a big box of them.Very pleased with the purchase.Edit: I've pretty much given up on Crazy Cups variety boxes at this point. While I was happy with them at first when I wrote the original review, my last order for a summer variety had christmas cups in it, and the most recent 70 pack was about half decaf and the grove square powdered cups. Guys, most people don't drink any decaf, let alone in these volumes and the powdered stuff not only clogs the nozzles on the brewer, you can get a packaged powdered coffee/hot cocoa/whatever for a lot less money and the quality is better in the packages. Most of the powdered cups have nasty oils in them and fake sweeteners. Ick.So since these guys aren't focused on delivering a quality product, at these prices I can just buy a bunch of regular variety packs without the decaf and powdered cups and get a better price per cup.3I don't usually write a review for a product like this so soon after getting it - but I ...I don't usually write a review for a product like this so soon after getting it - but I opened up this pack to make sure everything was in good order. It was. Then I brewed one of the pods, the Oatmeal Cream Pie, and it was phenomenal. I cut open the pod to brew it a little stronger and I drank it black. The flavor was mild and pleasant, not artificial tasting, and the aftertaste was the best part, it was exactly like an oatmeal cream pie.Right after I finished that cup I brewed another. This time I made it in the Keurig machine on the middle size setting. Came out tasting great. I decided to switch up and add cream and sugar. The flavor was excellent, but I actually prefer it black and I know that's just down to personal preference. I'm looking forward to trying every flavor but I can almost say the entire purchase was worth it for the four pods of the flavor I've already tried.5Great coffee but variety pack needs work.I enjoy crazy cups flavored coffee and have tried quite a few. The flavor is good but not heavy at all to me and it smells delicious. I purchased this variety 24 pack to of course try more favors. I was disappointed when I received my package as there were not an even distribution of the flavors. There is 8 Frosted Oatmeal Cookie cups, 5 Bananas Foster Flamb cups, 1 Salted Caramel cup, 2 Caramel Truffle Sundae cups, 4 Pumpkin Vanilla Creme cups and 4 Cinnamon Churio cups. I hate to be a whiner but I would have preferred an even number of each. All in all they are good tasting and I will buy more crazy cups, just not this variety pack.4MehUntil I started my new job, I was content with drinking crappy Maxwell coffee at my old office, and never knew there was a legit difference in coffee brands and flavors. I still need an alarming amount of Stone Cold Creamery's Sweet Cream creamer in any coffee I drink, but my new office offers a vast array of Green Mountain flavors so I've been exploring those. After my husband bought a Keurig I decided to go coffee crazy and ordered a bunch of variety boxes. Clearly I'm no expert, but so far Green Mountain is the reigning champ. Really, the only flavor out of this entire variety that I truly loved was the Bananas Foster. Everything else tasted the same or didn't taste like what it should be. I'm def going to order the Bananas if I can find a single box of it!3Banging flavor!Pow! That is what this coffee does to your tastebuds; it knocks them for a loop. But in a good, flavorful, burst of coffee goodness. I tried the Bananas Foster first, whoa, smack my mama, could not believe how good it was. Then the Salted Caramel because I love caramel but I knew it wouldn't be as good. Wrong, it was. I've had the Pumpkin Vanilla Creme and it was good but my pie has brandy. Need to convince them to add brandy. The Caramel Truffle Sundae had my child's eyes closing in delight.The jury is out on the other flavors of frosted oatmeal cookie and cinnamon churro but I will venture to say they have to be pretty good with the quality of the other flavors. I know I am.5CRAZY CUPS PAY ATTENTION: Be careful if you value your coffee maker but flavor is spot on ; (Okay lets start with the pros for encouragement....the flavors of each of these chocolate lovers coffees are spot on (peanut butter and the coconut one are my favorites) all with out any bitter bite and are very smooth.now the cons: They are not compatible with all Keurig coffee makers, for I have read some people have no problems, but many others have repeated blow outs...I tried one in the pod it came in and it shut down my machine so having read other peoples problem I removed the top and filled my reusable pod with the coffee and it did the samething so I removed some of the coffee and it worked just fine, but still blew out my paper filter I use for easier clean up, Next time I used even less of the coffee in my reusable set up and it worked even better. Now when I removed the top from the first pod I found it had blown out the filter in the pod and that is the reason most people get grounds in their coffee even when it works with their coffee maker. I had to remove all the coffee and put it in individual baggies and use my reusable pods. Part of buying the pods is the convenience of use and these do not provide that, then there is the possible damage it can do to your coffee maker.So if you do not mind the inconvenience of pouring out the coffee into baggies and then scooping the coffee out into reusable pods it is okay, but it has to be cheaper and a time saver to buy this coffee in bags (if only they came in bags) in place of the pods if you are going to do this. It is a pain to have to open these pods and pour them into individual baggies. Right now I will not be a repeat customer for I just got my new Keurig and want to continue to enjoy it.Crazy Cups are you reading any of your reviews? If not you need to and if so then you need to fix your problem for the rest of us who love your coffee but will not take a chance of ruining our coffee makers. Thank you for your consideration.2Good coffee, but bad cup designThe coffee (what little I have been able to drink) tastes good. Unfortunately they have a problem with their cups and most of the coffee grounds have been ending up in my cup. I was originally thinking it was my coffee maker, but this particular coffee is the only cup I have ever had an issue with. Out of curiosity I took one cup apart and found that the coffee filter was ripped - not even close to where my coffee maker pierces the cup. Obviously a quality control issue if these filters are already ripped like that. I will not be ordering again due to the frustration of having to filter the coffee grounds out before I can drink each cup.2Good, but not great.I purchased the Flavored Coffee Lovers variety. The coffee is strong but the flavors leave something to be desired. Bananas Foster had no banana undertone. I picked up the cinnamon in Cinnamon Churro, some caramel in Salted Caramel. Overall, the flavors can best be described as synthetic. Bananas Foster had an aftertaste which was slightly similar to the taste of PTC paper. If you're a 'super taster', you will understand what I mean. If you are not, the flavors might be more pleasing.Overall, the price is in line with some of the Green Mountain K-cups, and I found the brewed Crazy Cups coffee had a bolder taste than Green Mountain's Dark Magic. (I find GM DM to brew a little on the watery side.)I took off a star for the flavors, would be interested in trying a non flavored Crazy Cup single serve cup.Worth noting: Crazy Cups includes instructions on the box as to how to recycle their cups.3Delicious!Crazy Cups Coffee Flavor K-cups comes 24 per pack. My package had an even amount of 4 for each of the 6 different flavors. These are Medium strength Roasts which isn't too weak, even though I usually go for stronger roasts. These, very creative flavors, are delicious. It's like I'm drinking a dessert, not coffee. I am one of those people that uses a little bit extra flavored CoffeeMate creamers in my coffee. However with these Crazy Cups, I hardly used much creamer at all, which is unusual for me. My favorite flavors are the Bananas Foster Flambe and the Frosted Oatmeal Cookie. I brew these yummy flavors in my Keurig 2.0 that I purchased in March. So I was a little apprehensive about buying these K-cups because of the reviews that stated they don't work with a 2.0. I decided to buy them anyways because I tried them at my sister's house and loved them. I was also prepared to use a workaround to make these work in my 2.0. But much to my surprise they ended up working just perfectly in my machine. I think that I've finished half the box so far. Everyday, I look forward to having my Crazy cups and do highly recommend them.5
