Just OK, not greatThe flavor is just not that dynamic or delicious. I have brewed in an aeropress, know how to brew an excellent cup of coffee, and have tried dozens of Sumatra beans from different roasters. This one is just ok. I do not believe this roast is particularly competitive with significantly better options available (e.g. Atomic, Cafe Vita, and even Starbucks is superior).2Fantastic!!Great coffee with taste, aroma of a more expensive brand and simply just tastes better! I use this and the Mandhendling type which is also from Sumatra and is my only coffee's I drink now! I buy whole beans and get fresh ground beans smell through my apartment and the tastes, smells and mouth feel are exquisite. Stone street is my only coffee shop now!5Disappointing, twiceThis is my second order of this coffee. It is okay, drinkable and certainly much better than coffee-in-a-can. But I have had two disappointments so far. The first bag was under-roasted, dry, and under-flavorful. This batch is over-roasted and under-flavorful. That is, it has a strong taste but it is not predominantly a coffee taste. This gets good reviews, and it would be a great value if it were a super coffee. I wonder if I am experiencing unusual variability.It's not an expensive bag of coffee, but not a cup of coffee that I look forward to enjoying in the morning. I am a penny-pincher, but good coffee makes a difference in the way I start my day. I will probably grind this for work, and order something different for home.3First time trying the "Gayo Mountain" Sumatra - Loved It!I've got a passion for dark roast coffee, and use this one with drip and a coffee press. It's fresh and smells wonderful before and after brewing. A little cream, a little raw sugar: it makes a great dessert coffee as well. This is the two pound bag. The only thing I'd like to see improved would be to ship it in a RESEALABLE two pound bag, to preserve the oils and flavor (not that they suffered!).The last cup was just as good as the first.5Authentic Indonesian Beans from Gayo MtAfter living in Indonesia for 7 years and getting freshly roasted coffee from Gayo mountain, I was kind of skeptical that this would hold up. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised! It had the strong earthly flavor that I love about Gayo beans, and the roast was perfectly dark without even a hint of being burnt. I liked it so much that I bought it again when I ran out!5Excellent coffeeWas looking for an alternative to SB Sumatra. Have tried many and nothing had come close.....until we tried Stone Street! It is not just close it is equally as good. I was a little concerned it was a dark roast but it is delicious, no burnt taste and no bitterness. It tastes like I remember Sumatran tasting!5VERY GOOD coffee and Worth Sampling a 1lb bagI've been buying the Amazon brand "Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC" exclusively for several years now; no less than 50 bags of all varieties, whole bean regular and decaf. Comparing taste, freshness, color, and overall quality, "Stone Street" is VERY GOOD coffee. It is however pricey at $50.00 per 5 lb bag. Recommend sampling a 1lb bag of your chosen bean and check it out. P.S. In regard to other posters, I received what I ordered.4tasting cooffee, same as when in JakartaGreat strong brew in a good way, deep smooth taste, same as i had while traveling in Bali and Indonesia last year. I had a small prob with the shipment and the company made it right 100% excellent customer service. I will recommend and buy again from them for sure. better than starbucks and i like starbucks coffee. great job and great coffee , thanks Stone Street crew...5
