Not as good as the original recipe.Good Earth tea is a long running favorite of ours. This had a great price and was organic so it seemed to be an easy choice. However, this does not seem to be the original recipe. This is not as good as the original recipe and I wish they specified that it was a different recipe.2NEW BATCH TASTES LIKE DIRTY DISH WATER!!What happened to this tea? I've been ordering it regularly, but this latest batch tastes like dirty dish water! Extremely disappointed... I love drinking this tea, and now have to find another source unless this happened to be a "bad batch". In which case, I am hoping the company replaces these horrible tasting ones...1Undrinkable since recipe change.I have been drinking this tea all day, every day for 10+ years. Fast forward to the last 5 boxes I ve purchased that had to be tossed. Good Earth changed the recipe, and it is nothing short of disgusting. Yes, DISGUSTING. I m not exaggerating in how awful the new recipe or blend is. Please save yourselves the trouble and learn from my mistakes...DO NOT BUY this product until they clear up this issue. The new recipe for this tea was/is undrinkable with a horrific chemical smell and taste, and you will realize this the moment it touches your tongue. It caused myself and other reviewers stomach problems. I m still hoping this was just a fluke and a bad batch from their distributor, but reading other reviewers reaffirmed what I feared...this new tea is their new recipe, and it s just terrible.Being hopeful, I thought it was a bad batch, so I even tried buying them from different grocery stores, and had the same problem. The product just stinks now. The Good Earth Sweet and Spicy new recipe is absolutely, unequivocally undrinkable & will very likely make you have stomach problems as it did with myself and other reviewers.Pay attention to the tag attached to the string. If it is not plain paper, and is instead the new shimmery, synthetic, sticky, gooey tag, toss immediately &/or contact Amazon for a refund.I m hoping enough loyal customers will speak out and help Good Earth to realize that bean counters will run any business to the ground. This product will be discontinued if this new recipe remains because it is absolute garbage now that they ve tried to save a few nickels and dimes to cut costs and change ingredients. Furthermore, no new customers will be repeat buyers with how horrific this product tastes now. Loyal customers are willing to pay more to maintain quality ingredients and maintain the consistency of the product. Good Earth needs to realize they will absolutely lose their customer base and their business over these changes.Save your money. Do not buy this product. It has gone downhill and Good Earth needs to bring back the original recipe and remember the basics. Business 101: Quality and ingredients matter. Yes, I said it. Consumers know when you re cutting corners to save money. Your loyal customers know you ve adulterated the original recipe with lower quality, undrinkable, unnatural, chemical tasting ingredients that I wouldn t feel safe recommending that anyone drink after the stomach issues I have had and other reviewers have had while trying to keep an open mind by attempting to drink this new recipe. Save yourself the trouble and throw it away.If anyone at Good Earth is reading this, please please PLEASE bring back the original recipe and ingredients. Your brand and product were known for its consistent quality and unbelievable taste. Drinking your original tea was an experience that gave many of us a moment to experience gratitude and stillness in our busy lives, but it also happened to be unique, fragrant, delicious and refreshing product that was a part of our daily rituals and lives. You will have to discontinue your product at some point if you continue down this path because it is terrible now. Quality, consistency and ingredients matter. Your loyal customers matter. You are better than this, Good Earth.1Good Earth's turn for the worseMy wife and I have been loyal Good Earth drinkers for more than five years. The decaf version - we've been drinking both - started to decline in quality a couple of years ago. It got blander, less aromatic. We had a hard time getting used to that - but nothing prepared us for our most recent delivery, in late summer 2017. The decaf has a strong flavor and smell again, but it's a nasty, revolting, chemical stench. I can't begin to describe it. We'll have to throw it all out. You recognize these disgusting new batches by the tags at the individual bags. They are not made of paper, but of some shiny synthetic material. They don't have those more or less witty one-liners printed on them. Stay away from them.1Progressively More DissapointingI've been buying Good Earth Tea for close to 10 years. I really liked the flavor and felt a sense of comfort drinking it. In the past few years the taste has been questionable. Recently, I bought the Amazon bulk pack of 6 boxes. Every single one of the teabags I sampled from different boxes is bitter. I then purchased a box of Sweet and Spicy from another store and it was bitter. I then purchased another box from a neighboring state, hoping it would be from a different production batch, and it too was bitter.As an alternative I have tried the caffeinated version and the organic version. The caffein type does taste better but can't drink it at night when I am most likely to drink tea. The organic version is a very weak-flavored tea with very little to differentiate it from tap water.For a time it was enjoyable and mildly medicinal for my digestion.This last purchase went beyond my tolerance for bitterness. I think, at this point, I am done with Good Earth tea.1Consistently Inconsistent - No QCWe loved this tea and went through a six-pack of boxes each month. We have started to find inconsistency from box-to-box and even from bag-to-bag. The last one was awful. I contacted the company over six times on the issue. They have promised to send replacement product and bring back to bad product for internal analysis. Every week they promise, every week they fail. We've had to give up on them and on this tea.1Got a REALLY bad batchOk..this is going to sound weird given that I just gave this only 1 star (meaning I hate it), but I LOVE this tea.....usually. That is why I have been buying it by the case from Amazon. My last shipment however is very "off"....the paper tag at the end of the sting is all gooey and the tea itself tastes and smells really bad. I was hopeful that the Good Earth people would make good on it but they merely referred me back to Amazon so, now will try to get a refund or replacement from them. Not hopeful given that this is some months after the original order was received. Fingers crossed. Meanwhile beware....as tasty as this tea is normally there is apparently a bad batch floating around the Amazon warehouse.1This tea was my favorite for yearsThis tea was my favorite for years. During the last several months, the flavor has changed. It barely tastes like tea at all. There is no sweet and no spicy.I guess this tea has fallen victim to cost cutting measures - flavor cutting measures.Good Earth - you lost a customer.1Very very badThis tea made me physically sick. In my stomach and gut. I've been sick over a week now. At first, I thought it was something else but I got so sick I couldn't eat for a whole day. All I drank was this tea and the next day I was even worse. I lay in the bed writhing in pain and had diarrhea. Now two more days have gone by and I am still feeling weak. I'm trying to flush my body with water but I still don't have much energy. It's a slow recovery. It is deceptively delicious ..but it's NOT good. I'm sorry to have to write this. I've written probably hundreds of reviews and I've never written anything else from Amazon was actually unhealthy but this stuff was like poison to my gut. I would NOT recommend drinking it. Maybe this was a bad batch or maybe I am that 1 in 225,000 people who had an adverse reaction but whatever it is I'm disappointed I paid to weaken my body drinking this stuff. If I could give it no stars it would get no stars.1Good Earth Sweet & Spicy Original - Did Recipe CHANGE? Anyone else have this problem?I have been drinking this caffeinated tea for over 10 years, always loved the strong flavor. I usually buy 6-12 boxes at a time as I drink every day. My last 6 boxes from Amazon seller had absolutely NO FLAVOR. It is weak, flavorless. Did the recipe change or did I get a bad batch? It s basically flavorless. And yes, I brew as per instructions. I wrote Good Earth directly Oct 2018 to inquire if they changed recipe - all Angela from GET had to say was thanks for contacting us, for replacement or a refund we advise that you contact Amazon, will forward carton info to quality insurance. Has anyone else had this same problem? If so, has anyone found a close substitute to replicate the flavors from the old version of Sweet & Spicy [caffeinated]. I am so disappointed.1
