Customer Reviews

Paris Tea is wonderful, just not this teabag varietyI received a tin of Paris as a gift and loved it. The flavor is more unique than I expected, but one I think fans of Earl Grey would enjoy. When I emptied the tin, I searched online to buy more and came across this package. The price was much lower than the tin, so I ordered it.Unfortunately, there is a reason the price is lower. The teabags are not nearly as flavorful as the sachets (which have loose tea in them). Perhaps it is because tea bags are more processed? I'm not sure. I will use these, and have given some to friends and family, but I won't buy them again. I'll buy the sachets, or even better, the loose leaves.Harney & Sons Paris Tea, 50ct sachetsHarney & Sons Flavored Black Tea, Paris, 4 OunceI highly recommend Harney Paris, just not the tea bags. Pay a little more for the tin, either here are direct from Harney.3My Favorite Tea Ever!I first found this tea on Amazon in the tins from reading reviews, tried it and LOVED it! I wanted to buy more so decided to forgo the sachets that come in the tin and buy the lesser priced tea bags. This is a great deal and I see no difference in the taste between the sachets and the bags. I like the bags better because they are individually wrapped and I can share them easier with friends.5Very GoodWell, Its too soon for me to recognize any tangible health benefits, but, if you're wanting to cut down on soda pop, or other beverages, this is a nice, refreshing way to dress up a glass of water. I'm drinking it cold, over ice. One bag will noticeably flavor a half gallon. Nice to know it's organic, as well.Update - June 2015 - I recently started drinking Mint Tea, so, I'm in no way a connoisseur. I read some Amazon reviews, ordered four of the most popular and well-reviewed Mint Teas, and ran a personal taste test. I notice from some of the comments that not everyone seeks the same thing as I do from a Mint Tea. I like it strong, fresh, clear tasting. Here was how I ranked them: 1st - Traditional Medicinals Organic Peppermint (pull date Mar 2018). 2nd - Twinings Pure Peppermint (pull date 25/10/2017). 3rd - Harney & Sons Caffeine Free Herbal Organic Peppermint (no pull date on box, but purchased this year). 4th - Choice Organic Peppermint (pull date 3/16/18). All were very good, except the Choice Tea had a distinctly different taste, compared to the other three. I just didn't like it as well. Twinings and Harney & Sons had a more mellow, kind of thick body to them, with Twinings being a little more vibrant and Minty. Traditional Medicinals just had a brighter, mintier taste than the rest, so I'm gonna hang with that brand, for now.4Green dust with no flavor -- would give zero stars if possibleThese Harney Japanese sencha green tea bags produce a tea that has all the flavor of grey tap water. I've been brewing and drinking Japanese sencha tea for more than 20 years, and this has to be the worst green tea I've ever experienced. It's so flavorless that I took to using 5 tea bags per small pot -- and still wondered how the resulting brew had zero flavor. There are no leaves in the bags, only the smallest particles looking like dust. Makes you wonder if they fill these bags with the dust at the bottom of the bins where the leaves are stored. Don't be fooled by the fancy British name and look to this brand. Save yourself! Avoid these bland bags and find a real sencha tea with actual flavor!1A Delightful First!I discovered this tea while searching for a similar black tea my sister in law drank; assuming this was the one, I quickly purchased it. I found out later when I received a text picture from my sister that I was wrong. And I'm sure glad I was because my taste buds have changed over the years and I have a sudden liking for different tastes. I truly enjoy this tea in a medium sized mug 8 oz hot water. I also have those bowl sized mugs that holds 16 oz but that waters down the tea to a point that the flavor and aroma becomes too subtle. Lesson learned. I've pretty much gone through half my box already - having tea several times a day, at least once a day with Paris, alternating with the Earl Grey. I enjoy this tea with cream and sugar much like Earl Grey or on it's own, breathing in the fruity tones and bergamot that makes this a fun tea with cookies, heheh! I like everything about this tea from the packaging to it's bag and I find myself ready to try different flavors Harney and Sons offers. Quite a joy!5While I love the tinsAs I am writing this review, the box is $0.21/bag and the tin is $0.41/per bag. The teabags in the tin are a bit more fancy and are made of a tulle material. The teabags in the box are a more traditional teabag wrapped in paper. While I love the tins, the boxes are the obvious economical choice. I do not notice any difference in flavor between the two. Harney and Sons has yet to disappoint me. I alternate orders of this and the Harney & Sons Japanese Sencha Green Tea, 50 Tea Bags. I have a black tea in the morning, and a green tea in the afternoons. They're great.5Fake teas...see photos for proof. This is fake. Tasted completely diluted and stale. I have real teabags from them. Check the photos. The fake has the date listed as 1983 while the real one is 1970. Also, 275 varieties instead of 200. The taste is wildly different as well. Fake one taste like cheap tea that's on the third steep. I called to verify all of the above with Harney.1The best black tea!I love this tea!! A Dutch Bros opened up down the street and I tried an iced black tea. I have become addicted. One of the employees told me it was Paris black tea. I was ok with getting it every day, but some days i did not want to leave the house. So, i looked on Amazon, picked this one, and it is perfect! Exact flavor, I love it. I get a box of 50, use 10 bags pet gallon of iced tea. I am a very happy drinker!!5As a flavor snob Chef and Sommelier, I can confidently say you'll LOVE this tea.Not normally an Earl Grey fan, but Harney and Sons have made the most well - balanced black tea/ bergamot blend I've ever tasted. As a chef and Sommelier, balance of flavors is the dominate and must valued characteristic of food and drink. The black tea in this blend has low tannins with a bold flavor, and the bergamot is warming and satisfying. There is a wonderful hint of molasses and citrus when brewed alone, but my favorite way to enjoy this tea is piping hot with good honey and fresh lemon. Every person I've introduced to this Earl Grey had become an instant fan! Thank goodness they've got the packaging sorted out ...5REAL Green TeaWe used to buy Eden Organics' Sencha tea, but their quality went way down (their "green" tea is now brown and bitter). So we were grateful to have discovered the Harney & Sons brand! This is true Sencha vibrant green and fresh, with a taste reminiscent of Springtime. Please, Harney family, keep your quality high; don't EVER cheapen your tea the way Eden did.5
