Better for Town, but Good NonethelessI took this off-road several times a day walking my dog in the rain, and after a week or two a little hole wore in the toe area, but overall was pleased, and I think these may wear better in civilization where there are sidewalks. We live in the country. I do like the black color--it even looks a little dressy compared to the walking boot, so one could wear it over the boot at a business or dressy event with a black boot on the "good " foot. 4Awesome invention!I wore a boot for 4 months and it came in handy for the wet and snowy weather. The bottom is open, it has elastic so that the boot tread comes thru. Your foot may still get wet depending on the amount of precipitation, but it's better than nothing! 5Great for Snow, but make sure you wear it correctly!Excellent item. If you are wearing it in the snow, make sure the toe goes over your toes and not the toe of the ortho boot. If the cover touches the ground at the toe you will drag up a lot of snow into your toe area. 4Order cover according to your boot size NOT shoe size. I was confused at first but more clear.So far so good have been wearing it at work in the supermarket in the seafood Dept.for a few days now it Keeps my foot dry when washing the floor. Although I do try to be careful to not get the product soaking wet as it s not water resistant. Does the trick though just enough to get me through the day with out cold wet toes. Snowed 7 today in my area worked well with it not getting snow in my boot sock Highly recommend! My boot is a M for medium order what your boot cast is. You can find the size underneath your boot. Also if you work in a high risk area like me please be aware boot casts are not slip or oil resistant or you walking on snow and ice do take caution as there s no traction underneath. Take your time walking with these clunky boot casts. Only down side is the price but for $28 they save me at work. I left mine on my boot cast it s easier to slip on just step in cast adjust straps and zip up the back and there your done! 4Works great in the rainI use this cover on rainy days for my NYC commute, mainly walking to and from trains and subways. It has really made my life easier, as I no longer have to sit in the office with a wet foot all day. It s easy to put on wherever you are and holds up pretty well. Given it s open in the bottom you shouldn t step into giant puddles or potholes.I have been stopped on the street by many people who wanted to know where I got this clever product from.You should make sure to put it on correctly, though. Otherwise So you will step on it while trying to walk. If you wear it the right it will hold up well.Would absolutely buy this again. 5and I only had to wipe the very bottom of my boot clean when entering a room (just like normal shoes)This protected my boot from the nasty Boston snow, slush, rain, and ice from late February through April. My foot stayed dry, my boot was protected, and I only had to wipe the very bottom of my boot clean when entering a room (just like normal shoes). It's easy to spot clean, attach, and detach from the boot- although I think it needs to be a bit larger to fully cover the boot. I had a small boot. 5Good idea but can wear out quickly if not optimally placed on the bootGood idea. Has made it possible for me to work in the yard and go to appointments in rainy weather. But the front edge wore out in a week and I had to reinforce it on the inside with duct tape to extend the life of the product. You need to be really careful about where you place the velcro pads. They need to be has high as possible on the boot while still being able to tuck the front of the cover over the front edge of the boot. I think I placed them a little low, which caused the cover to come into contact with the ground while walking. I recommend installing the pads with the boot off so you can see what you are doing better. 3Holds up to above average useI have used this hard for a couple weeks, walking dogs in wet grass, dirt roads and chaparral. It works fabulous keeping boot and foot dry. I took a 90 minute hike into the mountains on a rocky trail with stream crossings. I pulled the elastic down around the sole just a bit when I crossed the streams and the boot stayed completely dry. Of course this reduced the traction on the outer edges of the sole and is not the intended fit for this product. There are a few small abrasions around the toe and the stitching that holds the elastic at the toe has come undone but neither of these things has compromised the cover's ability to keep dirt and water out. I can see that it will definitely hold up for the remainder of my recovery. 5A life saver for out in the barn this winter... and a modification idea!Love this product. Im looking at a snowy and icy winter on my horse farm with a walking cast. This cover along with the waterproof covers that look like a shower cap that wrap under the bottom of the boot make the boot waterproof. Infact I modified the bottom covers with those yellow round ice grippers. By making a small incision in the bottom of the rubber sole you are able to pop in the grippers... I finished the openings with a bit of gel super glue....! So happy to be able to take care of my horses this winter 5This is a great product! I bought this to cover my walking ...This is a great product!I bought this to cover my walking boot when I was at work. I initially was very pleased with the fit and how warm it kept my foot.Unfortunately I am still working even with the walking boot and this means I walk 5 miles a day over all sorts of surfaces. Due to that fact I walked a nickel size hole I the toe of the cover after just one day. I sewed the hole closed so I could continue to wear it but after a week and a half of work and a couple more repairs I have had to toss it out. I am very sad that it did not hold up to a lot of walking, I know not many people walk a lot with broken feet so I am still giving it 4 stars. 4
