Good and cheapGot them today. They are quite small and unobtrusive. They seem to work very well for me. The operation manual could have been printed on a larger sized paper. As it is you need to strain to read the instructions in it. Would also help if there are instructions on installing the batteries rather than for the user to spend unnecessary time figuring out on a trial and error basis. On the whole, I am very happy with them. Had a professionally pair of hearing aids before, but believe me if your hearing loss is mild, this will do just as well.P.S. After trying out for about 10 days, found that the batteries only last 2 days. At this rate running cost will be rather high. 1 star deducted for this. 3Pleasantly surprisedI don't normally do reviews but for the money, these things are pretty damn good. Wasn't expecting much but was very surprised at how good a job they do compared to much more expensive models. As long as you fit the correct size earbud to get a snug seal in the ear, these things are great. Well packaged, plenty of spare batteries, easy to use although the volume adjust is fiddly due to the small size.They might not be suitable for everyone, but for me, with profound hearing loss in both ears, they were an excellent purchase and I can highly recommend them as we can't all afford 3000 - 5000 bucks for state of the art in-the-ear hearing aids. 5YOU CANNOT RETURN THESEThere is a continuous "roar" in their sound that never stops. Too irritating to use. Amazon say I CANNOT RETURN! Do not buy this if you cannot return it. The noise they make is too great to make them usable. Do not buy the battery's Amazon suggests, they are the wrong ones and you CANNOT return them either! See photo for the false/incorrect Amazon battery suggestion. 2You don't have to shout at me! You think I'm deaf?Really a great value! Good enough to order twice. Once for me second for a friend. Had a less than great experience with another company at four times the price. Will not hesitate to buy an additional set for myself in case of loss. Gets the spouse seal of approval for TV watching time. Reminder, this is an amplifier. Put it in my ear and I started hearing strange sounds, like the turn signal in the car clicks when operating. Some loud noises like auto horns or dishes can be startling. I use with discretion. Comes with four batteries. Amazon has great buy on extra 60 pack number 10 batteries. 5Not bad for the costFor the price I paid (less than $30), I wasn't expecting top quality. I simply needed an interim set of hearing aids while I decide where to take my expensive set for repair. The instructions for setup and tuning were clear enough. The one gripe I have: the whistling sound when my smartphone is held up to my ear. This forces me to take one of the hearing aids out when I use the phone. So far, I haven't had to do this in public, and I've seen the looks others have gotten when you remove something from your ear. These are good enough for general purpose use when at home. I'll use them in public when there's little chance of having to talk on my phone, like when visiting relatives or dining out. These earned 3 stars. They aren't bad for the money. 3Good back up to a hearing aidI have profound hearing loss -80%. I have worn a hearing aid for years. Recently I dropped my hearing aid on a tile floor and it broke. When my audiologist told me it would be 2 weeks for an appointment, I had to have something to use in the meantime. I purchased this product after reading the good and bad reviews. With my profound hearing loss, this product does enable me to hear the world. Anyone ordering this should understand up front that this IS NOT a hearing aid...it does not filter our the background noises, etc. However, this product does work, it's small and goes inside the ear canal with a comfortable fit. I am very pleased with this product...I could not go 2 weeks in silence and still function at work. I do recommend this product as long as you understand this is NOT a hearing aid. 5Very poor. When they workedVery poor. When they worked, they each had a very prominent buzz. A constant ssshhhh. If your goal is to where a device for an hour or so and instantly be able to hear better when you take them out, then this is your product! If you already have a ringing in your ears and just want something to hear everything else as well as you hear the sssshhhh then I'm all out of ideas. Maybe the several hundred dollar pair will work. Please let me know. Thanks. 1Put it back together and it is still working great after all thatI've had mine just over a few week now. So far I have forgot I had it in, took a bath and under the water I went with it in, our dog got it off my table and it was found in two pieces on the floor. Put it back together and it is still working great after all that. I go thru a battery every 3-4 days. Some of the things I enjoy hearing that I haven't heard in years. Some I just assume not to hear lol. I would buy again. 5BatteriesFinally figured out how to install the batteries.....THESE AMPLIFIERS ARE WORTHLESS. ALL I CAN GET IS A HIGH PITCHED WHISTLING SOUND. And what are the little post things with what looks like ear bud on the end for. These make NO SENSE AT ALL!I cannot figure out how the batteries go into these ear pieces. Also I do not know why you sent something like 40 extra batteries along with this item.....these batteries are WAY TOO BIG to fit into the ear pieces...these are useless. 1Maybe OK for very mild hearing lossThe secret to these is in the ear plug. If you use the one that fits, chances are that you will hear the loud whistle noise as soon as you turn the volume up enough to hear, probably way before that. By using a larger ear plug /tip it helps with the whistling noise, but for me they stuck out so far that they would fall out if I made a quick movement. Nothing like being in a meeting and having your ears fall out. Sadly I waited too long so I missed the return date so another lesson learned. I can't afford 5k for what I'd love to have but I am going to bite the bullet and spend 600 or so and get the better quality set. I've spent that much over the years on the cheap ones and you get what you pay for, I wish I could remember that instead of hoping I get lucky. 1
