Work great for my capsulitis/second toe matatarsal issuesI developed inflammation at head of the second metatarsal - these worked great to elevate the metatarsal, so when I walk, the head of the metatarsal is 'suspended' and does not take a grunt of the pressure when I step down - but these are flimsy and will not last more than a month or so with daily use - 4Amazing shoe insertsI've been using these inserts for three years, and was able to continue to work with a torn toe ligament in the ball of my foot . These are truly amazing as I did not find any other product out there that would relieve the pain from metatarsalgia. They are really well made, and last a long time, I usually used mine for 6 months then got new inserts. My job is working outside, on unlevel surfaces for at least 8 hours daily. I did just have surgery to fix my foot, and would not have been able to of walked, and worked without these inserts. 5Pretty goodWish they had regular arch support as well so they would be true orthotics. However they do seem to help with my Mortons Nueroma, but not supportive. I use them in my converse since they re smaller than typical orthotics. 4Good but could be better!I would give it a 3 but no other product out there I can find. Pros: Relieves pressure on ball of foot when inserted all the way in. Cons : Unlike store brands this comes short and prone to slipping out of place if not careful inserting foot into shoe. Improvement would be to stich onto heel end a trimable extension that can be trimmed by customer so fits tightly in place and does not slip at the toe. I would give it a 5 for that. 4Really good insolesFound no relief after visiting two professionals for orthotics. These were an acceptable improvement over the inept efforts by the ones that should know what they are doing. I have since bought another pair. Based on the feel, I would suggest ordering 1/2 size larger than your shoe-size. 5Worked okWhile the best of what I've tried so far, they didn't completely solve my issue. But on the rare occasion I have to wear a different shoe than the one that doesn't hurt my feet, it works in a pinch for a short period of time. 3Well designed,well made@ 66,I walk 5 miles every morning,began having much pain ball of left foot-ordered these German made shoe pads (next day-thanks Amazon)-1st day-did better-2nd day-back to 5....fit shoes well,immediately relieved most pain-after 3 days-back to normal--highly recommend. 5European sizes are converted wrongThe item I got was listed as a US women's 9 but is actually a Euro size 39 (which is the equivalent of a US women's 8.5). I recommend ordering one size up, as a US half-size too small can mean the cushion makes contact with the wrong part of your foot and it can also shift around in your shoe while you are moving. This can cause rather than relieve pain. Wound up returning mine for that reason.Also, if you are experiencing foot pain, for the love of three oranges, DON'T go with Amazon Super Saver shipping. I waited a week for the delivery, which isn't bad for some things, but for pain relief seems like a lifetime. 3Amazing!I am a cyclist and my metatarsal arches seem to be falling ugghh...anyway....my feet now feel AWESOME when I ride...i rode 2 60+ mile rides, 2 weekends in a row and NO PAIN!! The stick on pads are 50 cents each and only good for about 2 rides and my metatarsal area of my feet would still hurt like hell...these completely alleviate the pain! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! 5Unbelievable relief for chronic sesamoiditisI was diagnosed with sesamoiditis in my left foot after a series of orthopedic issues in my left leg. I used to wear boots all the time, but they put too much stress on my big toe joint and caused too much pain. I switched to ropers (lower-heeled boots) to alleviate the stress on that joint. It helped, but I still felt this terrible burning/shocking pain at that joint periodically throughout the day if I stepped incorrectly. As a result, I have generally been wearing tennis shoes whenever possible, since they provide so much cushion for the metatarsals. At the recommendation of an orthopedist, I have also inserted steel insoles in some of my shoes to reduce the amount of flexion at the joint.I got tired of this, and started digging and digging on the internet. I found this product recommended on some podiatry website. It was less than $20 bucks, so I decided to give it a shot....I am three days in and have worn my boots all day each of those three days. I've had zero instances of acute shocking or burning pain (or any pain at all, for that matter). As a result, I feel that my gait is getting back to normal, as I feel more confident taking full steps with my left leg. I honestly cannot believe how effective these pads have been for alleviating this chronic, highly irritating issue. I very rarely review products and am generally a critical person. This is the best $20 I have spent in a very long time.The product doesn't come with instructions on how to insert them properly in your shoe. I went to the internet for that and found some helpful videos. Understand that you don't want your big toe joint to be sitting on top of the meat of the pad. I learned the pad should go slightly behind the joint, closer to the arch. You will feel the pad putting some pressure just behind that joint.I bought two more. Will probably buy more than that. 5
