#1 KeeperI work construction and my feet HURT with a capital 'P' for PAIN. Bought 8 different "foot massagers" from Amazon and compared every day for two weeks (see my other reviews). Price not a consideration for me as I wanted relief. Up to you what is too expensive anyway. Your mileage may vary with body morph and medical history.Here's my #1 Favorite. Why? The ball is squishier so rolls better under my foot, the spikes are the right ratio of rounder, softer, gentler. And the Double Ball saddle-effect cradles the side/blade of my foot even reaching a bit onto the top. Oh, Mama... Use both barefoot and socks. This item is very effective and cheap. Travels well and you can throw it at the newsreader on TV. Dog chews it up? Oh, well. Get another. No sweat. Keeper. Strongly recommend as best of the bunch. 5Works great for passive trigger pointsI use this sitting at my desk at work or at home in the places that hurt or are tense and it really helps release the tension. I just place it between the tight spot and my chair and let the fingers work in and help with the tension. 5Too pokey, hard, awkwardThis thing is too awkward for me. Maybe if you're a big buff guy it might be ok, but I'm a kinda skinny girl, and it just sort of hurts. I wish I had gotten the regular ball and not the peanut shape. Highly recommend - feels like heaven. 5Good idea but not a long lasting productIt is an ok product,good shape to massage the legs and upper back. Unfortunately, It did not tolerate a lot of pressure put on it and 2-3 days after I got it the air escaped from it and I could not get it back to its original peanut shape. 3It's good.After reading contradictory/polar reviews about the plastic NOT being pokey or firm enough, verses being too pokey and unusable. To help describe this product I would say that the plastic IS firm enough to perform excellent tissue manipulation of the type it is meant to perform. The product is filled with air and can collapse under the weight of your foot but when used on the bare neck, back, arms, legs, etc., it can definitely be effective and helpful in manipulating and releasing SUPERFICIAL muscle and skin adhesion and spasms. If you are very sensitive you may want a variable thickness towel between you and the device initially, or try two tennis balls in sock, because this can cause discomfort superficially. If you want something that is firm enough to access deeper muscle tissue and provide greater force, then you should opt for a solid, wooden spine roller or a thera-cane. 4Very Spiky, Nice DesignMore versatile than the regular massage ball, the Peanut is great for pinching a muscle and massaging it to work out knots. Especially nice for forearms, calves, and feet. Each ball is approx. 3" in diameter.The balls are a little soft, so you can smash them by pinching them, but the peanut definitely does not flatten if you, for example, roll your forearm on it.Smells like plastic/pool toy, but not offensively strong.The spikes are quite aggressive, but if it's too much for you you can just put a t-shirt over it to dampen the spikes a bit.I wish it was a little cheaper or offered in a set, but I definitely like it and will probably buy another at some point. 4Almost greatI like the shape of this one because it keeps whatever body part you're treating from rolling off, but the spikes are too hard. It is harder than you're average spike ball. I have to cover it with a towel or use it over clothing.
