Customer Reviews

Another great product ruined by a greedy corporationI feel like this happens more and more these days. I used to use the Superfeet Copper for all my daily wear shoes, and the Superfeet Orange for my high-impact footwear like hiking shoes and basketball sneakers. Both of those could take a beating, whether it be 100 miles on a rugged mountain trail, or hours and hours at an amusement park. They never let me down, and in fact usually lasted more than the guaranteed 12 months/ 500 miles. Now, these new versions they've come out with work fine, but they are not the superior product that they used to make. Superfeet are now on par with the rest of the orthotic-insoles out there. For starters, the stabilizer cap/section was downgraded. The old models had that section made of some sort of indestructible plastic/polymer. These FLEX ones have a subtly-softer stabilizer cap. Compared to my old Copper insoles which are beat up and old, these are not as firm even though they are brand new. That's not all though. The stabilizer cap used to be made of one solid piece that went all the way past the arch and was slightly curved INTO your arch to provide support. The new one is (as you can see in the photo), made up of just an edge band around the heel, and it is flat... Pushing against it gives you no spring-back and does not feel as supportive.Oh I wish it ended there... The foam section under the forefoot used to be made up of three layers. One was the upper liner, then a medium layer of what felt like closed-cell-foam, and then the final bottom layer of memory foam. The new ones have the same top liner (albeit thinner - so expect quicker wear), and then just one layer of a different kind of foam. It feels like a mix of the two old ones, but it's just one layer. The bottom line is that what used to be the best product in the over-the-counter insoles market (that you could get without a prescription), is now just one of many options out there, not significantly better than any others. Are they bad? No, they're still a decent product and seem well made. My objections come from having used and trusted the brand for many years and now having an inferior product passed as the same simply for the benefit of the shareholders. I guess I now begin a new search for a superior product. 3Fits well...minimal time needed to get it cut and in your shoe. Highly recommend!I take the stock insoles and trace them out onto this and make a few minor cuts to trim it perfectly to my shoe. They are awesome, provide lots of support for my back and my pronation issues. I've used this in both athletic shoes and dress shoes! 5~ ~ Not bad for the price ~ ~Bought this for a friend who has flat feet to help with his plantar fasciitis..On average each day, he walks between 5-8 miles. It's been about a month and half and so far so good, he says it really helps with is foot pain and relieves stress in his heel. Provides enough arch support for his feet. Definitely would recommend because it is a great buy for the price. 4Firm arch support in the right spot! These are pretty amazing. The cup-fit of the heel kept my foot in place and the arch support fit in my natural rise, unlike some that made me feel like I was standing on a rock in the middle of my foot. My back immediately started adjusting itself, away from where I usually carry my tension/malformatons. I'm ordering another pair. A shout out to a friend who hikes the AT who recommended this brand. 5Hot & firmBought these based on reviews stating how comfortable they were. Don t know what people were reviewing but it certainly wasn t Superfeet FLEX. I didn t have my feet on them 10 minutes before I had to take the insoles out as my feet were already overheating and that was in an air conditioned house. Decided, against my better judgement, to give them a try in an air conditioned car & wound up taking my shoes off at the first traffic signal. The other night I tried taking the dog for a walk on a beautiful early Fall evening & just a short walk around the block had my feet overheated and I couldn t wait to get my feet away from these things. Then there s the firmness factor something that s very subjective but with these insoles I felt like I was walking barefoot on concrete.Easily the biggest waste of $20+ dollars I ve had in a long time. Would have returned after trying them in the house but my wife had already thrown the packaging away. Fool me once....I guarantee I won t be fooled again. 1Maybe they'll break inThese are more for people who want some more arch support. A little too much for my liking but they're comfortable and the heel really gets locked in on my running shoes. 4Very disappointed!I purchased this insole to replace the original that came with my rockport shoes. This is my daily office shoes, I easily put 11,000-13,000 steps into this thing each day.The original was far more comfortable than Superfeet replacement. It is simply too THIN to offer any cushioning or support to the balls of my feet.I had these for about 45 days now and my feet are cursing me at every day! 1Great buy from the warehouseThese superfeet aren't as stiff as my first ones were but they are much better than the insoles the shoes came with. I purchased them through the Amazon Warehouse at a very good price and am happy with my purchase. 4Not a good superfeet brand product- best to look at something else! These inserts are FLAT! If you suffer from plantar fasciitis then do NOT expect these to give you the support you need. 1which isn't bad because it allows for you to cut them for ...They are a little big and wide, which isn't bad because it allows for you to cut them for a custom fit. The comfort isn't amazing, a little hard and may even hurt your feet for the first week as your feet adjust and mold the insole. I have been wearing insoles most of my life because of growing pains and flat wide feet ( also an athlete), so I am pretty familiar with a wide range of shoes and insoles. Lastly, don't expect to insert these over your shoe insoles...won't work in cleats or slim shoes like Nike Free, etc. 4
