Great compression stocking at a fantastic price!I bought the Truform Anti-Embolism Thigh High Closed-Toe Stockings because I was having trouble with swelling after knee surgery. When I had the surgery the hospital supplied a pair of stockings for me to wear. My insurance would not cover them and I was charged $164 for them. They did not last very long and I needed another stocking.I found these after searching Amazon and other sites. I saved over $140 buying my new ones from Amazon. These are also a better quality than the ones the hospital supplied. Love them, Very comfortable. 5They loosened down on my first wearThe material is good and the design is true to what was posted. I ordered a Small thigh-high stockings (18mmHg) since my measurements are:ankle - 8.5 calf - 13.5 thigh - 20.5 They fit fine. I wore them on my job since it requires standing the whole time. Wore then from 8am, but at 1pm, they started to loosen up and went down. They didn t roll down but just loosened down until right above the knee. The compressed parts of your legs are generally the ankles and calves part since they eventually loosen up at the thigh area and go down to above the knee. For next time, i will try another brand. 3Cute and comfortable compression stockings??I needed compression hose following a knee replacement surgery. I bought these to have an extra pair. I could not believe how nice they look. They are opaque and look nice enough I'd actually wear them out. The other fantastic thing about these stockings is they go all the way to the groin. There is a rubberized part on top at the back to hold them up. They also have a panel sewn into the upper thigh adding room and comfort. They were great post-op but I would buy them again just for hose. 5which is painful since it is compression and gets tighter as it ...I need a product that fits over my knee so I thought this would would work since it goes up the thigh. But it only takes about 20 seconds before it starts to roll down past my knee, which is painful since it is compression and gets tighter as it rolls. So, I bought it and can't wear it. In fairness I don't know if the is a product or the that will address what I need. But I don't know how anyone could get this to stay on. 1These are a big help!I suffer from blood clots and as much as I hate to have to wear stockings (I am a guy after all!), these help out a lot. These are constantly massaging your leg and help keep the circulation going. I work at a desk all day and only am able to get up occasionally, so these are a big help. I even wear this instead of a regular sock sometimes. 5Easy to put on. They could hold up better and we could use some interesting colors/patternsThese compression stockings are comfortable and reasonably easy to get on your legs. The only issue I have is durability. The process of getting them on puts them at risk of developing holes and that does happen.That being said, they are a fine product. I do wish someone would make thigh high compression stockings in some interesting patterns or colors rather than just black, white or flesh colored. 4Perfect - Measure ProperlyThese are exactly what I needed. I ordered a couple of other types before these, but they all felt too constricting at the top. I felt they might actually do damage to my circulation. The gusset these have (like the ones put on me at the hospital after bilateral knee replacement) totally solves this issue. Even 6 months post-op, I still have swelling, so my knees and thighs are a bit large.The important thing to do is properly measure. In my case, I placed the most emphasis on my thigh measurement, as that was my issue with the other stockings I ordered. That meant a large in my case (also because of the length of my legs). The other measurements indicated a medium. (I ordered the previous stockings in large also, so the gusset truly made the difference). For reference: female, 5'10" (disproportionately long legs) & 175 lbs.At work, I stand (and walk around) for 8 hours a day. They stay up fine. Already have purchased another pair.You're supposed to hand wash, but I don't hand wash anything. I use delicate cycle in front load machine (Mrs. Meyers detergent) and dry on a rack. The ones from the hospital are getting a bit stretched at this point (but they are 6 months old). I expect these to hold up similarly, as they seem a bit sturdier to begin with.Highly recommended. 5BEST STOCKINGS EVERAFTER HAVING 2 HIP REPLACEMENTS, I HAD TO WEAR FULL LENGTH ANTI-EMBOLISM STOCKINGS THAT WERE THIGH LENGTH. THE HOSPITAL GAVE ME STOCKINGS AND THEY WERE A NIGHTMARE. I PURCHASES 2 OTHER BRANDS FROM A SURGICAL STORE AND HAD TO CUT THEM TO MAKE THEM "COMFORTABLE". WHEN MY SURGEON SAID I COULD FLY BUT WOULD HAVE TO WEAR THESE STOCKINGS I WAS NOT HAPPY. THE THOUGHT OF SITTING IN A PLANE SO UNCOMFORTABLE WAS NOTHING I LOOKED FORWARD TO. I ORDERED THIS NEW BRAND AND DREADED TRYING THEM ON, AND LOW ON BEHOLD, THEY WERE MUCH EASIER TO PUT ON (I WAS ABLE TO PUT THEM ON MYSELF FOR THE FIRST TIME!) AND WERE VERY COMFORTABLE. THEY DON'T BIND ON MY UPPER THIGH (HAS A BIT OF EXTRA FLAB!!) AND FEEL GREAT ON MY ENTIRE LEG. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THESE HIGHLY ENOUGH AFTER USING AT LEAST 4 OTHER BRANDS. I WILL SAVE THE BOX IN CASE I NEED A NEW PAIR IN THE FUTURE. 5Great product from a great company!!!We purchased these anti-embolism stockings for my mom-in-law and she loves them. We had some sizing complications at first, and the seller was amazing to work with!! We wanted to try them out for a while before reviewing them so we could provide a more honest review of the stockings. They are easier to put on and take off than her previous pair, and she says they are more comfortable to wear. She wears them all day every day and her varicose veins seldom cause her pain now. They are easy to clean, which is important. She has a young lady from home health help her dress and the lady has acrylic nails that are longer than normal and she snagged the stockings so now they have a run. We will be ordering another pair or two soon. We highly recommend purchasing from this company!!! They will help you get the correct product and size for your needs, and their pricing is comparable or better than other companies we researched! 5Two StarsSorry they don't help as much as hoped. They also move down the thigh and bunch round the knee. 2
